Expat Driving is owned and run by Neill Watson, a photographer and motoring writer based in the UK.

With the explosion of cheap flights, affordable second homes in Europe and our general movement towards people migrating around the world these days, I realised that many people had major questions regarding moving their cars from one country to another. Some people were moving their entire lives around the world to emigrate, while others simply wanted to find out how to take their car out to their holiday home in France or Spain and keep it there.

Following the migration theme, it seems only natural that we should also include those who love the spirit of adventure and take their specially prepared 4x4's across deserts and wastelands on ambitious overland adventures.

If you fit into any of the above, I hope you find this site useful. You might even want to add useful information of your own, so feel free to register using the menu on the left and write about your experiences. We're not perfect either, so if you find any errors, feel free to point them out using the contact us form here

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
